Bryant announces draft for performance based budgeting bill
A newly drafted bill that calls for more performance based budgeting could eventually save state taxpayers about $250 million a year, according to some lawmakers.

Bryant pushes new budgeting method
GULFPORT — Under a proposal touted by Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant to reform the state’s budget process, the Legislative Budget Office and the Performance Evaluation and Expenditure and Review committee would be combined and charged with making sure state programs are productive, or else their budgets would suffer.

Holiday Fair Held at Salt Lake County Government Center
The holiday fair held Wednesday at the Salt Lake County Government Center is aimed at helping Utahns. Sarah Petersen of Utah State University’s Salt Lake County extension says, “We have classes on budgeting your finances, we have the 4H youth development program that runs out of our office, a home ownership class where people can come and learn how to buy their first home.”
